Privacy policy for the Latest K53 app
Effective date: 18 October 2026 · App: Latest K53 (Android, package za.co.latestk53.app) · Developer: Stephan Swart, South Africa
Summary
The Latest K53 app does not collect, store on any server, share or sell any personal information. It has no account, no sign-up, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays on your phone
The app saves your chosen vehicle, your practice progress, your mock test history and your wrong answers only on your own phone, in the app's local storage. This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time with My progress → Reset my progress, by clearing the app's storage in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app. If you have turned on Android's own device backup, Android may include this app data in your personal Google backup; that backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
Purchases
The optional once-off "full unlock" purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or receive your card or payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether your Google account owns the unlock, so it can turn on the full version and restore it on a new phone. Google's handling of payment data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Reporting a question
If you tap "Report this question", the app opens your own email app with a pre-filled message (the question ID, the question text and the app version). Nothing is sent unless you choose to send that email. If you do, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply to you and to fix the question. We do not add you to any mailing list.
Permissions
The app uses the Google Play billing permission for the in-app purchase and standard network access so Google Play can confirm a purchase. The app works fully offline for practising. It does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or files.
Children
The app is a study aid for learner drivers. It is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Your rights (POPIA)
Because we do not collect personal information through the app, there is normally nothing for us to give you, correct or delete. If you emailed us, you can ask us to delete your email at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
